A set of six Cotswold school "High Pass" ash dining chairs including two Carver chairs. Designed by Ernest Gimson around 1907 drawing inspiration from a Provincial French design. This design of chair is still handmade today through a direct working lineage by Lawrence Neal. This set was made by his father Neville Neal in the latter quarter of the twentieth century and most of the chairs are stamped with his mark. The chairs are all completely solid and all the rush seats are in superb condition with very minor signs o wear. Carver chair dimensions are Height 115cm. width 60cm. depth 52cm. arm height 70cm, Both carver and side chairs have a seat height of 45cm.
